ABOUT ALIBAG
Alibag is a serene town on the west coast of India not
far from Mumbai. Alibag, by road is a three-hour drive
from Mumbai on a scenic stretch. Alibag has a lovely beach
with a ruins of a historic fort. The hilly range of the
Western Ghats line the side of this picturesque city.
It's a wonderful place to take a relaxed vacation with
nothing on your mind.
Alibag is also surrounded by a
group of smaller villages each with its own lovely beach
on which to relax and enjoy the scenery. One of those
villages in alibag is the Nagaon village on which our
cottage stands. Just 6 kilometers from alibag proper and
10 minutes from Nagaon beach this is the ideal place for
a restful weekend.
Alibag is a 300 year old city steeped in history, culture
and great places to visit. Among
the various places to visit and tour is the lovely Kashid
beach, the famous Birla temple at Revdanda and of course
the alibag fort in the sea.
To get away from the Mumbai hustle and bustle for a quick
trip, alibag is the ideal spot.
